Alejandra Barillas was appointed as Miss Universe Guatemala 2011 in a special ceremony. Barillas was the original representative to Miss Universe 2010 but due to an injury she couldn't attend. One of her runner-up's (Jessica Scheel) ended up taking her place.
Sara El-Khouly (Miss Egypt Universe 2011) was appointed
to represent Egypt in Miss Universe 2011, after no national pageant was
held in the country due to the ongoing political crisis. Sara was
previously Miss World Egypt 2010.
Chloe-Beth Morgan (Miss Great Britain Universe 2011) who won the 2008 Miss Wales contest and competed in the international Miss World competition held in South Africa, later that year. As she scored the highest among the British delegates in Miss World 2008, Morgan was chosen to represent the United Kingdom in Miss International 2009, where she placed 2nd runner up.
Alyssa Campanella, Miss USA 2011 competed in the Miss New Jersey USA pageant twice, placing first runner-up in 2008 and in the top fifteen in 2009. On November 21, 2010, she competed in the Miss California USA pageant and won the title. She was the first Miss Teen USA state delegate to represent California at Miss USA since Shauna Gambill in 1998. She was heavily favored by Vegas oddsmakers to win the title of Miss USA 2011.
Deborah Henry (Miss Malaysia Universe 2011) won Miss Malaysia World 2007 and represented her country in Miss World 2007. She is notable for having been selected in the top 16, the highest placement a Malaysian woman has achieved since Lina Teoh in 1998.
Evalina van Putten, Miss Curacao Universe 2011 replaced Monifa Jansen since Monifa did not meet the age requirements stipulated by the Miss Universe Organization. Monifa was born in March, 1993.
Bokang Montjane, Miss South Africa 2011 participated in Miss Earth 2007 held in the Philippines, where she obtained the Beauty for a Cause award and placed as one of the Top 16 semifinalists of the competition. Two years later, she competed in Miss International 2009, in Chengdu, China.
